The Blog Is Temporarily Turning Into A Photo Album

Happy Second Anniversary!

Here you can see my neck,
but the blisters don't show up very well
And I'm redder now...

Another picture on our anniversary!

Ruekie!!!

Ears...I mean Edgar!!!!

These are all from the flowers Warner got me
for finishing radiation and chemo!

This one is my favorite

I'm still learning more about the mac and Aperture, so if you've got any pointers for me (especially for Aperture) let me know. I think I used photoshop once in an art class so basically it's just me messing around right now. Anyway, in case you missed it in the last post...I'm finished with treatment!!!!! Yeah, just wanted to make sure you all knew. Oh, and it's raining outside, and I looooove the rain!!! I keep getting distracted by looking out my window!Another oh! Warner got me a necklace for finishing treatment (yeah, I'm getting super spoiled). It has diamonds and two Ruby's on it and it is kind of in the shape of a cancer ribbon, but not really. I'll take a picture and show you all later.  For now, enjoy the pictures I have posted!!! And celebrate me being done with treatment. I'll be celebrating once my mouth doesn't hurt and I can enjoy some good food!!!

If you have any questions about the Mac let me know. I've had mine since January. I have IPhoto though not Aperture. Anything else and I can probably help. Congrats on finishing your treatment and your 2nd anniversary. :)

Stephanie,

We are so happy that your yuck treatments are over. You have been so tough with so much endurance! We know that you have many steps to go, but now you can focus on healing. It will great to see an upswing in feeling better rather than having treatments that break you down as they get rid of the ugly cells for good!

Congrats on the 2nd anniversary!

I feel guilty that I am able to read your blog and look at your pics when Susu and Annacan't! Anna is coming into the church this a.m. so she can look then! I wish you were here too to play canasta with us--Susu beat us all soundly last night . I am rooting for you to enjoy some good food soon! Did I tell you that Gina thinks Peter looks like Warner? Hugs and Kisses to you both 9You and Warner that is -not Reukie and Edgar- but you can share yours with them if you like!)

YEA on being done with treatment!!!!!!!!!!!
NOW for the healing of your neck and also your mouth so that you can enjoy food again. We'll be praying for that. I'm sending a reminder to all our Prayer Partners to be sure and check out your pictures. You look beautiful!!! Nobody knows why you had to go through this, but isn't it good to know the ONE who does!!! And His ways are perfect (Ps. 18:30). HE's loves you with an everlasting love and is ALWAYS and ONLY good!

Our prayers will continue to be with you.

In Jesus' love,
Diane (for Dale, too)

Stephanie, I know that you are DONE. However, I was looking through the e-devotionals and came across this one. I have yet read the past two days' blogs (but I will after posting this), but I thought maybe this devotional will give more confirmation of God's goodness and purpose.

God Delays
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2 by Os Hillman
Sunday, July 20 2008

"Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days" (John 11:6).
"Why doesn't God heal me? I have prayed and prayed and I am still sick. Do I not have enough faith? I am so tired of this," said my wife who had gone more than three years battling her illness.

Mary and Martha were very close to Jesus. The Bible says Jesus loved Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Mary was the woman who came and poured expensive perfume on Jesus and the disciples rebuked her. Lazarus, Mary and Martha's brother, had become terminally ill. Jesus was two miles away in Jerusalem during the time of Lazarus' illness.

After Jesus heard the news that Lazarus was ill, instead of running to the aid of Mary and Martha, Jesus waited several days. Lazarus died and was placed in a tomb. His response to the news was: "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it" (John 11:4). Jesus had to look beyond Mary and Martha's current grief in order to fulfill God's purpose for this sickness.

"When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home" (John 11:20-22). Mary was in deep mourning over the death of her brother. When she finally went to see Jesus, she immediately cried out to Him, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." But there was a pre-ordained plan for the purpose of Lazarus' death. But only Jesus knew this. Jesus healed Lazarus that day.

When we experience sickness and do not see a breakthrough, we can only seek Jesus for our healing and leave the outcome to Him. We must trust that He knows the answer to our need and the timing for its solution. There are times when we experience supernatural healing and other times that we simply do not know why Jesus chooses not to heal. In either case, our devotion to Jesus must not change. God-delays are always pre-ordained for a greater purpose. If you find yourself in this place, bring your concerns to Jesus and leave them there. A day will come when Jesus will reveal His purposes in your situation.

Okay, we're all getting to bed early here in Dallas. We'll be on the ground in LA around 9:00 a.m. If it's shopping you want, then that's what it'll be! I've been looking at Mac's so maybe we can go to the Mac store and giggle like children. PCs are really starting to wear on me.

If you see a child dragging two adults that'll be us. Christina definitely has a mind of her own. We look forward to spending some time with you and my cuz Candy (aka, Mom). See you soon!
